Welcome to VETROLEUM, Alternative Fuels Sustainable Fuels
The Clinton administration required a more efficient motor vehicle. Cheney administration is moving in the opposite direction. To the delight of the petroleum industry and its Texas friends, the Bush administration is walking away from a $1.5 billion, fueled motor vehicle, according to the New York Times.
Solar Power Since the early 70's I have been a follower of the development of 'alternatives' to petroleum based energy. Wind, solar, stream these days with hydrogen based energy making exceptional advances these last several years. While many of us have been acutely aware of the need to develop 'new' energy technologies, people in the mainstream are becoming more accepting of the fact that we must find other energy sources to replace petroleum.
Despite mineral oil's association with petroleum and the hype that it is bad for skin, keep in mind that petroleum is a natural ingredient derived from the earth and that once it becomes mineral oil, it has no resemblance to the original petroleum. grade mineral oil and petrolatum are considered the safest, most nonirritating moisturizing ingredients ever found ( Cosmetics & Toiletries, January 2001, page 79; and Cosmetic Dermatology, September 2000, pages 44 6).
